Indian citizens do not need a Nepal visa. For air travel, the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi currently states that Indian nationals should carry either a valid Indian passport or a voter ID. Nepal immigration also states that Indian citizens may enter with a valid passport or voter card, while minors without a passport may use a birth registration certificate for permission to enter. Keep original documents, not just phone scans. We also recommend carrying backup identity documents where practical because airline, hotel and operational checks are separate from immigration rules.
